LeeAnn’s work goes deep. She is not afraid to push the barrier. She goes under the group and poses questions to get to underlying issues before groups are formed. LeeAnn does groups well. She explains and clarifies what she is doing while she is doing. With groups she explains; clarifies; works and practices and does it over and over so that we understand and the practice becomes imbedded.”
Kelly Raymond, Director of Professional Development, Tacoma
“LeeAnn brings learning into leadership. A second year of growth! Can’t beat it!
She is teaching me how to “come into my own leadership style.” She looks at the kind of leader I am and the kind of the leader the school needs and assists me with stepping into leading.
How to build teams. She is showing me what it means to be an active team member. How to be it – how to communicate from it—and looking at what I bring to a team. I have learned that being a part of a team is a choice. Even if someone is sitting at the table without participation; that is a choice. She has taught me how to build the capacity to create a team.
Navigating systematic change. “I probably wouldn’t have been able to do this job without her. I had maxed out my own ability.” One of my team members said “LeeAnn is the first consultant who was looking out for the school’s benefit; not for her own business.” LeeAnn gets in and learns the system; she doesn’t force canned change. “She has taught me that systemic change is fluid and how it will flow is through people.”
